Conservation Licenses

The Town of Webster can issue your New York State Fishing & Hunting Licenses during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

General Requirements

Conservation licenses are required for fishing as well as big and small game hunting. Licenses are available for New York State residents and non-residents. To qualify for a resident sporting license, you must have permanent residency in New York State for more than 30 days, and proof of residency is required, and the Town of Webster accepts cash or check only. 

Hunting Requirements

Licenses are required for big and small game hunting and are available for New York State residents and non-residents. Hunters must show proof of hunting training, and must follow hunting regulations

Fishing Requirements
Licenses are required for anyone 16 years of age or older.  If you are fishing with a child under the age of sixteen, you must possess a valid fishing license. During Free Fishing Days/Weekends, anyone can fish the fresh waters of New York State and no fishing license is required.   All other freshwater fishing regulations still apply.
