Garbage Collection

Pick-up of normal, everyday household garbage is not a service provided by the Town of Webster. This service must be contracted by residents. No private contractor has a franchise or any other exclusive right to operate within the town. 

The list of haulers is updated as licenses are issued annually in January when most are renewed.
Note: The Town of Webster does not endorse any of the licensed haulers contained in the list below — the Town is simply confirming that the following haulers are licensed to perform services within the Town.

Recycling

According to Monroe County law, all private haulers who collect residential garbage are required to offer curbside recycling services to their customers. This includes brush and branch pick-up. Plastic recycling bins may be supplied by Monroe County or by a private hauler.

Recyclable materials include:

  • Certain types of glass and plastic containers
  • Most cardboard
  • Newspapers
  • Plastic coated cartons (i.e., milk cartons)
  • Tin cans

Town residents who do not contract for garbage and recycling pick-up may drop off only recyclables at:
